HOW DOES IT WORK
Video Contest is our annual crowd-sourcing campaign to generate funding for educational programming and scholarship opportunities. Dancers ages 13+ submit performance videos for their family, friends, and fans to vote on. Each dollar donated under the dancers name counts as one vote. The dancer with the highest number of votes is named Aimed Dance's Dancer of the Year and will receive a $1000 scholarship. Additional scholarships and awards are available through the contest.

Dances must be a solo of the person applying for the scholarship.
All genres are welcome.
Please give creative credit if not choreographed by dancer.
Videos can be set in studio, on the stage, or site-specific.
Videos longer than six minutes will not be accepted for submission.
Complete the application form.
Submit the $10 registration fee.
Create a social media presence and promote your work.

Check back for 2024 dates!
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will also receive a full-tuition scholarship to attend either the Young Artists Intensive or the Professional Training Program as part of Aimed Dance Summer Fest 2023 held July 10 - July 22, 2023 at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX.
All prizes will be directly deposited with the institution or organization of choice. No payments will be distributed to an individual.
Overall Categories
Aimed Dance Video Contest professional panel will select an overall winner who showcases excellence in 1) performance 2) choreography or 3) cinematography. Each winner will receive a $250 scholarship. All videos submitted are eligible to win an overall category scholarship.
